Club Lago, established in 1952 by Gus and Ida Lazzerini, began as a haven for Northern Italian cuisine in Chicago’s Smokey Hollow district. Under the stewardship of son-in-law Francesco Nardini, it evolved into a neighborhood staple amid the transformation of the area into River North. Now helmed by the third generation, GianCarlo and Guido, Club Lago remains a timeless gem, offering simple food, warm service, and a cherished family legacy in the heart of the city.
